How To Have A Paranormal Experience

Have you ever watched a paranormal reality show and wondered if what you are seeing is real or just for ratings? Well, we can't say for sure what you see in these shows are real or fake, but reports of paranormal encounters are becoming more common, and many of them being validated. Ghost hunting is no new concept and it's been done long before the world tuned in every week to see entire teams of paranormal investigators. Along with the rise of these shows, came the rise in interest of the paranormal and many people started asking the big question “Is there an afterlife?”

Over the years many people have sought out ghost tour after tour, public investigations and any other way that may grant them the unique experience of seeing a ghost or feeling a cold hand on their shoulder as they walk through dark hallways of a haunted house.

And believe it or not, many of these people walk away with a ghost story of their own. So, you can have a paranormal experience.

You are setting out to have a paranormal experience, not to prove or disprove a haunting as seen on TV this means you won't be needing a ton of paranormal investigation equipment that requires an entire team to set up and operate.

Here is the only equipment you will need:

1) Flashlight
2) Camera
3) Voice recorder
4) Cell phone

Many smartphones/tablets have many of these things built into them. When you watch paranormal investigators on T.V, you see them using a wide range of tools like EMF detectors and thermal monitors. Some of these toys can get very expensive and are not needed to have a paranormal experience.

Remember? We are setting out to encounter the spiritual world, and not to gather evidence of the afterlife. You should bring the listed tools with you to document your experiences as they happen, and any evidence you do happen to capture can later be used to validate your experiences.

Before you set off into the unknown, consider finding yourself a partner who may also share the same interest in the paranormal as you. This is the number one rule for any entry-level paranormal investigator or amateur ghost hunter.

Two or More Rule:

There are three main reasons why it is impossible to explore paranormal alone.

1) Safety – If you get hurt, you may need help.
2) Company – Ever been alone in a haunted house?
3) Validation – You may need a 2nd eye witness to any paranormal encounters.

Now, We have some equipment and a ghost hunting partner. Where should we go?

Again we are looking for the most likely way to have a run-in with a ghost, right? So, we aren’t going to want to just spend the night at anybody's house that claims they have ghosts.

No, what we want is a place that is well known to be haunted, but also accessible to the public. Old motels that have historical significance are hot spots for paranormal activity.

Let's say we have found an old hotel that dates back to the early 1900s and has survived the years due to renovations and remodels. Everybody in town talks of the place being haunted, and you hear all the ghost stories surrounding the hotel. So, you do two things. 1) Research everything about the hotel, 2) book the room that has the most reports of paranormal activity.

Once checked in, explore the location freely without causing a disturbance to other guesses. This will help you get a better spiritual vibe from the location. Also, talk to the staff, they will most likely have some awesome stories and encounters to share with you, and will definitely know what rooms have the most experiences.

When midnight finally comes around, be in the room with your camera and voice recorder in hand. Document the date, time, location, room number and anything else that might be noteworthy.

By taking pictures, you can sometimes capture orbs or shadows in your pictures. (This is known as spirit photography) These can be used to later validate your experiences.

Your voice recorder can be used as either a documentation tool to note your experiences or as an evidence-gathering tool through conducting EVP sessions.

Now, of course, this is only a hypothetical scenario. You will have to have your own experience and seek out your own haunted location.

If you don't experience any paranormal activity the first time out, don't give up and decide there's nothing to it. Most people who seek out paranormal experiences are looking for answers that might explain their own experiences, but many others are seeking that first encounter, and those who become obsessed with the other side will eventually have a paranormal experience.

The Legend of the Kraken

The Kraken is one of those mythical beasts that we all know and can see in our minds, yet rarely ever understand the origins of. Generally passed down nowadays through word of mouth or references in modern films and literature, the Kraken simply exists for most people. The Kraken has become an idea as fundamental as the ocean itself. Many will be shocked to find out that the origin of this great beast is from actual accounts that were meant to be taken as factual, stemming from Scandinavian history and folklore. The preponderance of the Kraken as a myth stems from the actual terror of going out at sea and finding a monster the size of which your mind cannot even comprehend. This idea has a primal attraction to us, as we are all scared of the unknown. We are often terrified of the thought of what great mysteries may lie beneath the ocean.

The myth and legend of the Kraken were passed down by both written and spoken words through Scandinavian historians and fishermen. It is said to be…

History Of Day Of The Dead

In some countries, there is a very particular culture that celebrates a day to honor those who have left. The Day of the Dead, known in Spanish as Día de Muertos, is a celebration of Mexican origin in which families gather in cemeteries to show respect for their loved ones.

It goes back to ancient traditions about 3,000 years ago, where rituals were performed to celebrate the death of the people of those civilizations.

By the end of the 20th century, the Mexican inhabitants had already begun to celebrate this day in the country. It is a two-day holiday, November 1 (to honor children and babies) and November 2 (to honor adults). People who celebrate this day believe that a bridge is opened between the world of the living and the spiritual world so that the deceased can cross it and visit their living relatives.

Mexico is the country that mostly celebrates this day, but there are others such as Peru, Honduras, Nicaragua, Ecuador, Colombia, El Salvador, and Venezuela.

Usually, families…

NFMT Celebrates 10 Years 2009-2019

North Florida Mystery Trackers is celebrating 10 years of research. In the past few years, our group has been less active in paranormal field investigations and more active in metaphysical research. However, ten years is a good accomplishment for any paranormal group.

So, what have North Florida Mystery Trackers been up to for the past decade? We are proud to say we have researched more than 100 case studies and have conducted or supervised 50 paranormal field investigations.

Since 2015, We have been focused on content publication concerning the subjects we are interested in researching.
