Understanding the paranormal realm

The general concept of paranormal research is often laughed at or looked at as a simple hobby for those looking for a cheap thrill, but we conduct very serious and important work. You may not see this work portrayed in paranormal reality shows, or discussed much at all outside the paranormal research field. In our case it's due to the lack of understanding regarding basic and simple research, what we do discuss must be watered down and put into simple context, This is so everybody can have a fair understanding of the research we work so hard at.

Why do paranormal researchers and investigators guard their work? Many reasons play a part in the guarding of research conducted by paranormal researchers and investigators. One of the main reasons would be to protect the identity of a private client they are in the process of helping, another reason is that some of the research conducted and concluded based on theories could get a person labeled crazy, this is why you almost always see the same thing when it comes to things like, Ghosts, UFOs, Aliens, Bigfoot or any other thing in the universe that can't be understood by the human mind. We have falling into a deep and bad habit of only wanting to release or share theories that are known to be widely accepted. (I seen a ghost, I live in a haunted house, etc) And we find ourselves becoming even more fearful of presenting new theories or evidence pertaining to the paranormal realm.

We have an unlimited amount of theories to as what a ghost may or may not be, and the same thing applies to all of the other paranormal subjects a group find themselves researching or investigating.

Many believe that a ghost and a spirit is not the same thing as so widely thought to be the case.

A ghost is believed to be an unintelligent impression of an personality left behind of a person who has passed away. Experiences of a ghost may include smells, shadows and sounds, but it's believed that although you can experience ghostly encounters like these, you can not interact with a ghost unlike you can a spirit.

A spirit is what it sounds like, the intelligent soul of a person who has passed away. Experiences with spirits include all of the same encounters that come with ghosts, plus much more including being able to communicate on an intelligent level through E.V.P sessions.

Upon research you will find that there are many theories to as why spirits and ghosts are not the same thing and why spirits feel the need to remain in certain places as well as ghosts.

On T.V shows and in the movies we see that haunted locations are often big scary motels, abandoned buildings or old two story houses that just looks like trouble, and yes there are plenty of places like these that are in fact home to many ghosts and spirits, but not all haunted houses looks like your worst nightmare. Many homes among other places looks nothing like what you may see on T.V or in a movie. They appear to be normal, that is until night falls and things turn weird.

Getting Started In The Paranormal Research Field

When you search online for paranormal groups you will find countless groups around the world, all of which has their own purpose. Some are thrill seekers looking for the next scare, some are looking for answers to a past paranormal experience of their own and some wants to help people who are having paranormal encounters but they all have a purpose.

When we started North Florida Mystery Trackers nearly 9 years ago we had very little knowledge on how to run a team, a website or to find places to investigate, everything started to come together in the first 3 years. In that three years all of our members was recommended to read a lot on a variety of paranormal subjects, we still do.

Reading is the first step when you decide to enter the world of the unknown. Many people wish to start out by jumping right into a paranormal investigation. Getting to know the field, research and investigation techniques and the many paranormal subjects you will be investigating will help you when it comes …

A Paranormal Lifestyle

Our group as a collective has witnessed and experienced things none of us can explain. This is one of the reasons we started doing this in the first place. To have that story. We have gathered many stories in the last eight years.

Been to many infamous and haunted places throughout Florida, and have researched many, many more paranormal cases that are considered high profile. Rather we can visit the location or not. In 2009, when we started North Florida Mystery Trackers, we all had the same goal (We still do) and that was to seek out answers to questions that has been asked for centuries, and to find out for ourselves if these stories have any truth behind them.

Growing up, we all have heard the ghost stories, tales of alien abduction or reports of strange creatures in the woods behind your house. But, was there any truth to any of these stories or claims? Sure, we can either believe the stories or not. But, then we would go on and never know what else there is. A paranormal enc…

The Ouija Experience

The infamous Ouija board has been marketed as a board game since 1890, in those 128 years this board has climbed it’s way up the latter as one of the most spookiest and mysterious things on earth. (In many people’s eyes) However, many also embrace the board as a spiritual connection or as a good scare on Halloween.

As you may or may not know, The Ouija board is believed to be a tool for communication between the spiritual world and ours. In fact this is the main purpose of the game itself. The board has the alphabet, numbers, (0-9) Yes, No and Goodbye printed on it. It’s users place their index and middle finger on a heart shape device called a planchette, and begin to ask questions. After a few minutes the board should wake up and begin to respond to the questions by moving the planchette without any input from the users. It’s believed that spirits move the planchette to spell out answers by moving it over certain words and of course giving yes and no answers. At the end of the sess…
